Angela (Hills) Allen
Angela is an executive coach, leadership consultant and business advisor. She is passionate about helping leaders and organizations grow. She brings rich experience as an executive in several successful companies and combines that with deep background in coaching and organizational development. Angela’s coaching approach is centered around helping her clients improve their ability to connect and inspire others to deliver results while navigating the complex work dynamics in growing companies.
When working with leaders, Angela believes it is important to tackle both immediate goals and challenges while also attending to the whole person. She believes true change comes from a willingness to look within, created alignment between one’s core values, belief and mental frameworks. In her work, Angela has seen that work help executives achieve breakthrough performance.
Professionally, Angela has over 25 years of experience in both leadership development and as a senior leader herself. After nearly 20 years working in the leadership development and career development space, Angela took a left turn to join an early stage tech-enabled services business. As one of the founding leaders, she helped the company secure Silicon Valley private equity funding, expand globally and grow more than tenfold in the 8 years she was there. When coaching, she finds that her personal experience as a leader of a technology oriented growth company helps her appreciate the pressures her clients are facing and provides her the business perspective to ask the right questions. Angela has a B.A. in Organizational Psychology from The University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. She is a certified facilitator of several BlessingWhite leadership, coaching and career management programs. She enjoys working with technical experts (Tech, Engineering, R&D, Finance, Sales) and has experience coaching with organizations of all sizes from early stage to Fortune 500.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys supporting her two teenagers in their passions and is an avid cook and foodie. She and her husband also find time for travel, including an annual European cycling trip which allows them to experience new places away from the traditional tourist paths.
