Because you are one.
Yeah... I said it.
Even if you are not in a “sales department,”
you are still a salesperson.
Always have been,
always will be.
Want your kids to brush their teeth?
Want your partner to go to the movies with you?
Want your staff to show up to work on time?
What your clients to show up to an event?
Want your prospect to buy your product or service?
All the above things require one thing,
that is, that you get your way.
Sales is nothing more than you getting what you want.
Believe it or not, this is also what leadership is. Getting people to buy into your vision.
Sales = Leadership
Leadership = Sales
In every single interaction there is a sale that occurs.
Either YOU sell your “prospect” that they need to “buy” what you have.
Or your “prospect” sells YOU that they can’t “buy” what you have.
So… be an ethical salesperson and leader. That's all I ask.
Try this, start selling only to people who you truly believe need what you are selling.
And, only make the final sale when you believe the prospect is ready to buy-in.
Forcing another human into your vision, philosophy, product, or service is how salespeople got a bad wrap in the first place.
It’s ok! Proudly admit it! You are a salesperson. You are a leader.
Now go out there and get your way.
