Cathy Quartner Bailey

Cathy Quartner Bailey is a leadership coach, workshop facilitator, author, and meditation teacher for executive and emerging leaders from Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial ventures across a broad range of industries.

Her area of expertise is “mindful leadership” with focus on leadership presence, communication, conflict management, and emotional intelligence. Cathy recently published the book Show Up as Your Best Self: Mindful Leaders, Meditation, & More available on Amazon.

Executive Coaching: Cathy’s style is direct, honest, and supportive. She partners with clients to help them understand the link between leadership and being mindful with focus on “how I show up” versus being stuck in “doing” mode. Her specialties include her 360 interview process, where she works with the client to “hear” the feedback in a respectful and meaningful way as well as helping her clients understand, develop and maintain leadership presence. She offers clients a customized, structured approach to help them achieve their leadership goals by sharing insights as well as providing customized tools and assessments.

Facilitation: In addition to executive coaching, Cathy loves facilitating groups of all sizes and has led workshops with focus on developing coaching & delegation skills for managers, emotional intelligence, critical conversations & conflict management, and mindful leadership.

Background

Cathy currently works with Wharton’s MBA leadership program as an executive coach and has taught Powerful Tools for Coaching Business Leaders at NYU’s Leadership and Human Capital Department.

In addition to her coaching, Cathy offers clients strategic marketing expertise and knowledge of the politics present in organizations based on her management experience working at British Airways, Lippincott-Margulies, Warner-Lambert, The Maier Group, and The Federal Reserve Board.

She earned an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth, a Certificate in Health Administration Services from University of Chicago, and a BA from Emory in Economics. She is an NYU Certified Organizational and Executive Coach, RCS certified coach, trained in the Immunity-to-Change approach by Harvard faculty Kegan and Lahey, was PCC certified by the ICF, and is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (DISC certified).

Cathy recently completed a certificate in MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) from University of Massachusetts Medical Center, is a recent 200-hour certified yoga teacher, and is passionate about helping clients incorporate practical mindfulness strategies into their busy lives. On a personal note, she is passionate about yoga, meditation, hiking, skiing, walking her dogs – Friday and Lyla, and hosting pizza parties. She lives with family in the Princeton, New Jersey area.
