Deb is the Founder and President of Green Silk Associates, LLC., a consulting firm specializing in organization effectiveness. She coaches senior executives and middle managers, and particularly enjoys helping them to make successful transitions to larger, more complex leadership roles.
Deb is valued for her collaborative approach, partnering with business leaders to develop practical, tailored, results focused solutions. She inspires confidence in leaders – helping them to gain insight into business challenges and potential opportunities, promote collaboration within and between teams, and facilitate process improvements. Her areas of expertise include leadership and team development, change management, talent management and performance management.
Having over 20 years experience as an internal practitioner and 10 years as an external consultant and coach, Deb understands the challenges leaders face and what it takes to effectively implement sustainable change that yields positive business outcomes.
She has worked in a range of industries across large and small organizations, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, retail services, and non-profit organizations.
Deb takes a methodical approach to helping clients gain insight into their capabilities and commitment to their growth goals. She builds trust and can be a calming force at a time when individuals may feel most vulnerable. She helps them to sort through ambiguous and complex situations, create a clear path, and gain a greater sense of control or certainty amidst times of change.
She is a member of the Board and the program committee (past co-chair) for New York Human Resources People & Strategy (NYHRPS) and co-founder of New York City Facilitators’ Group.
Deb is an IAF Certified TM Professional Facilitator. She is also certified to deliver and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Hogan Personality Inventory, Development Survey, and Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory.
Deb holds an M.A. from New York University in Politics with a concentration in International Politics and Business and a B.S.in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
